Frequently asked questions
Can AQ withdraw my money?
No. The broker API keys we use are trade-only. They have no access to transfers or withdrawals. Your funds can only move through your own broker portal.
Is AQ a registered investment adviser?
No. AQ offers algorithmic trading software as a service. It is not an investment adviser, broker, or fund manager. You stay the account holder and decide to activate the service. All trading happens in your own brokerage account.
Do I need trading experience?
No. The agent handles everything. You just need a supported brokerage account (Alpaca today, more on the way) and capital to deploy.
What if I want to cancel?
Cancel anytime with 30 days' notice. We stop the agent, hand over the dashboard credentials, and your brokerage account keeps its history. No fees, no penalties.
How much capital do I need?
Any amount — nothing is gated on your balance. One mechanical fact worth knowing: each engine needs enough buying power to size one full position, so below a certain account value some engines sit dormant while the rest keep running. Thresholds: AQ Essential and AQ Plus from ~$400, AQ Pro from ~$500, AQ Studio from ~$1,000. Opt-in engines (options, crypto) state their own requirement when you enable them.
